Real dead bodies found on Google street view
Bodies of real people found in Brazil on Google street view.
As we all know, Google own the world, and they're revealing more about it everyday. Going to Brazil is how can we put this, "dodgy" at the best of times but Google are brave. So they set out to complete Google Street view in Brazil.
After just a day of the service being launched, a couple of corpses were found. One, on the Avenida Presidente Vargas in Rio, the other in Belo Horizonte.
The images are disturbing due to their apparent normality, they were found in public places where people are walking about, they weren't hidden and no attempt to conceal them was made.
After Google got a wiff, they moved swiftly to remove the images, you can see from the links here and here that they have now been replaced with blank images.
Here come the statistics, Brazil's intentional homicide rate is around five times higher than that of the US although it has decreased slightly over the last 10 years.
It's also reported that Google has asked anyone who finds "disturbing" images to contact them company immediately by clicking on the "report a problem" link.
