Today i've been busy upgrading the forum and adding some extra touches.
What I've done so far:
1. Built in video support, no codes.
- This includes a massive amount of different formats and websites, if you want to embed a Youtube video all you have to do is simply copy the URL and it'll do everything for you.
2. Edit post, reason.
- When you edit your posts, you can now specify a reason for doing so.
3. Auto image scaling.
- Auto scales images to fit your screen seen (So you're not forever scrolling).
4. Minimum of 5 posts to be able to send a PM.
- Stops new members from spamming and being a pain.
5. Notification via a PM if a Moderator moves your thread.
- So you know where it is, and don't make another thinking it's been deleted.
6. Who's online (24 hours).
- Get a bigger perspective on things, considering the forum is one day old we don't have a lot of people on with in 15 minutes.
7. Read site rules banner, if you have under 2 posts.
- A little banner near the top, simply asking you to read the site rules - this goes once you've reached 2 posts.
8. A new referral system (See your profile).
- I'm hoping to get some awards out, some images and little badges that go near your name. More info coming soon, it should be good.
9. Spoiler, added to MyCode.
- [Spoiler] tags, makes things a bit tidier.
10. Tagcloud (beta testing)
Apparently it boosts your SEO, but i don't really know how to use it yet and the links are just going to error pages.
11. Thread Prefixes
- Describes what the thread's about in a word or two.
12. View new site wide rep (Administrators only).
This is so i can see who's repping each other and who's abusing the reputation system.
What i'm planning to do over the next week.
1. Make the minimum posts to be able to give rep to 15.
2. Add custom error pages, so if you mistype a URL you stay on the site.
3. Add a flag / country system to database IP lookups.
4. Restrict the members market to 50 posts or more to be able to view it.
5. Get a proper rules page up.
7. Make a custom contact form.
Then hopefully get some more members.
