How to speed up / port forward uTorrent on the Belkin F5D7231-4

Sorry, this thread is about a week overdue for spacebound. Hopefully it should be of some help.

Steps

First of all, open uTorrent, (My version being 2.2), and go to Options > Preferences > then Connection on the left hand side.

Port used for incoming connections: PORT NUMBER HERE*

*Pick anything really here, maybe something high such as 39260

Make sure Enable UPnP port mapping, Enable NAT-PMP port mapping and Add Windows Firewall Exception are ticked
Untick Randomize port each start.

Select a port that you wish to use then click apply then OK.

Now, log in to your router if it's the belkin it will be 192.168.2.1 in your web browser.
Log in with your details.

On the left hand side, click Virtual servers under Firewall and start filling the boxes out.

Restart your router, then you should then be set.

Addition notes

Name1 - Can be anything, this is so you know what the service you're portforwarding in your router is.
Inbound port - Is the port that you chose in uTorrent.
Private IP - This is the static IP of your local computer, the one you're running uTorrent on.
Private port - Same as the Inbound port

In the last picture where it says Inbound Port and there's two options that's a port range.

A BitTorrent client normally associates the TCP port number 6881. However, if this port is busy for some reason, the client will instead try successively higher ports (6882, 6883, and so on up to a limit of 6999). In order for outside BitTorrent clients to reach this one, they must be able to connect to the correct port.

What I'd suggest doing now, after researching is set up or change the port forward range to 6881 - 6889. TCP.

Also does your internal PC / Laptop have a static IP and it's going to the right machine?
