iPad 2 in the works!

Yep, you heard it here first (possibly), Apple are already redesigning the iPad.



Turns out they like the idea of having a second docking port on the side, just incase you want to dock the iPad in landscape rather than portrait mode. We can see this being a good move for Apple, especially as they've also designed a dock for the iPad.



They've also implemented a patent for something called "smart bezel", what this does is still a mystery but we have a feeling it'll be part of some scheme to take over the world, as with most of Steve Jobs' inventions



Whether they put this into production or not is still being speculated on.

I remember this cropping up somewhere else a while ago when Toshiba and all them did the same - albeit far better. They had SD card slots

As far as we know that's what the Smart Bezel could do, flip up and contain an SD/MMC/proprietary apple card. The latter being more likely in honesty

proprietary apple - there's a thread summary for you in two words. The iPad is totally useless i don't even see a use for it.. If you want to check emails, you can use your ANDROID phone or a laptop, or a Netbook (smaller than an ipad). Read books on the go? Kindle. etc.

Apple have a history for patenting stuff they never do. I agree, the iPad is useless. I have no issues using my Android phone to read my emails, I don't know what issues the iPhone users are having reading their emails and whatnot. But I can do it just fine on my G1 :tongue
