I'm working as an "IT Technician", more so down the IT support route, Indeed lining someone else's pockets. I wanted to start working years ago, and came up with Manchester Compute, before this forum existed, yet I found age to be a hindrance. The light is still at the end of the tunnel and it's shining, it's always been the corner of my eye, never lose sight of the goal. Every new thing is a challenge, and a challenge conquered at that, It's all experience. Valuable experience.
Don't worry about voicing anything, I don't take personal attacks, I've known Meatloaf for many years, others have noticed his jokingly attitude, I know he jokes. I've known yourself for some time, no where near as long but I can assure myself you don't go around attacking people.

Majority of people will say because they use Windows they know it but in fact most don't have a shade of a clue what is really making it all tick in the background. For you realizing that and doing something about it, good for you. If you are going through all the trouble of putting 7 on there you WILL fuck it up, it is only a matter of time between your tinkering, porn site visits, the inherent instability of Microsoft OS's over time and fate. Perhaps you will finally become a master troubleshooter and quit ducking out early on a BSOD.
That sir is quite true, It's funny how much I refer back to things I've done a year or so ago. It's not that I forget it's more of a quick reminder. It's also out there now for other people to look at and to learn from, adapt and progress further. I know XP a lot better than I do Windows 7 yet I have two enterprise level qualifications for the thing, go figure..
Haha! When my main machine is out of action Mark becomes disgruntled.

Pack3t, I believe this is more of a warning than a statement for one to think I don't run a *nix box any more. I have many a machine. Yet another sign things are changing, their numbers are dropping drastically.
