[Android] How to link your hotmail account to receive emails to your phone
This is just a quick tutorial on how to link / view / receive your emails (from your Hotmail account) on your Android mobile phone.
There are a few apps that'll allow you to do this, there's even one built in you can use that or i suggest downloading k9 mail.
Once you start the Application, (either of your choice), you'll be prompted with something similar to below.
Email: [email protected]
Password: yourhotmailpassword
<next>
On the next screen, you'll be greeted with a list of options, choose POP 3.
POP3
IMAP
WebDAV (Exchange)
<next>
Username: [email protected]
password: yourhotmailpassword
POP server: pop3.live.com
Security: SSL (always)
Port: 995
<next>
SMTP Server: smtp.live.com
Security: TLS (akways)
Port: 587
Leave required sign in ticked.
And that's it, you can now view your Hotmail account, receive and send email from your phone.
I set this up on a T-Mobile pulse, but you can use any Android based phone.
Any problems? Post or PM me.
