Deleting and recreating disks, shares, mount points and RAIDs using FreeNAS
Well I've got a new FreeNAS / File server recently meaning I've had to copy all my files over and that involves deleting the old setup, RAID etc and recreating it on the new hardware.
Go to the web management of your FreeNAS box.
Disks > Management
You'll see all of your configured disks, in this case I have two terabytes disks and a 1GB USB drive. See the red cross at the end of each row? I chose to remove / delete everything.
As you can see here, make sure to Apply changes!
Now to delete your mount point. Disks > Mount Point.
Same again, red cross at the end.
Now to delete your RAID volume.
Disks > Software RAID
You can see how to set it all up again in my previous thread.
