Google joins with Samaritans! - Mark - 17-11-2010 Google working with Samaritans to curve suicide. Google have teamed up with the Samaritans to make a new feature that will show the charity's phone number every time someone searches for something related to suicide. The helpline number will appear next to a red telephone symbol as the first result in the list offering a friendly "Need help?" whenever a user searches terms such as "suicide" and "commit suicide". It is hoped that the move will prevent vulnerable people from accessing "dangerous" information.
