JAILBREAK IPAD 3.2 [using Windows+OS X] - WARLORDTF - 29-05-2010 Now peeps, i've started with the iPad, cause its new and shiny and has bells and whistles still attatched haha. this will be a step by step guide on Jailbreaking your iPad Disclaimer: I apologize for any spelling mistakes and/or ensuing grammar mistakes, but hey I've had two vodka and cokes and its 00:35 so Serious Disclaimer: You MUST have your ipad Officially registered to Apple/Itunes Step: 0 Save your SHSH files, Its not needed for the Jailbreak but you will want to restore back to it, when Apple eventually gets round to patching the exploit. Step: 0.1 How to save you SHSH, [ECID SHSH], Download the latest version of AutoSHSH Here Step: 0.2 Start the program and plug in ONE iDevice [iPad] In Recovery Mode [To Do this, Turn off your device and hold down the HOME button while connecting the USB cable until you see "Connect to iTunes" message and logo on iPad. View from the program Step: 0.3 Click on "Grab my SHSH Blobs Automatically". It will Take a few mins to grabs the signatures and it will ask you to save it locally. Make sure you keep it if you want to re-downgrade your iPad for further Jailbreaking. Auto SHSH will also automatically upload the signature file to Saurik's Server [The guy who Owns Cydia] Step: 1 [this should have been mentioned before step 0, but it woulda got confuzing with step -1 XD] INSTALL ITUNES Preferably the latest one ERM, here is Apple - Itunes 9.1.1 Download Step: 2 You Will need the official iPad OS 3.2 iPad1,1_3.2_7B367_Restore.ipsw Step: 3 Download A program Called "Spirit" It is very much alike "Blackra1n" Download WIN here or Rapidshare Mirror Link Download OSX here or Rapidshare Mirror Link Step: 4 Connect iPad with your computer, Run "Spirit" and click on jailbreak /STARTNOTE for WIN 7/Vista Users [OS X Users Resume to Step 5] News say that there seems to be an issue with the compatibility, therefore a solution has been found: Change the “Compatibility mode” to “Windows 98 / Windows Me” by right clicking on “Spirit.exe”, and then click on “Properties” oh, and make sure you run the program as administrator XD that kinda helps /ENDNOTE Step: 5 Wait. Its not hard to do, but most amount of people screw it up at this stage. As they think its frozen or stopped. It most likely hasn't. Don't fret.
