You can only upload an avatar in to the site's storage once you've got 50 + posts, you can still use an avatar if you link it from places such as tinypic.
This is to save on hosting costs mainly.

Umm, ok I tried to link a picture from my own site, but ye... Mabye I need 5-10 posts before using a avatar, I don't know.
And as I said in my intro I can host this site really cheap on a strong and unlimited server.
EDIT: Yupp, I needed 5 posts to use my own link.
