It came off a broken workstation, I asked what would happen, the boss said it was off in the bin and so I asked for it.
Turns out it was an infinite license

All coa's are the same. i have actived the same license about 30 times if not more on a few different pc's and vmwares and they work fine. active no problem. for xp and vista and windows 7 i have done it with the same license 3 times on a vmware machines

Fair enough then, mine's XP pro so it's reusable without having to ring up (as you would have to if the license you were using was... of questionable legality)
