How to set up dual monitors on a Windows computer.


STEP ONE:
Plug your monitor(s) in to an available slot on your graphics card or motherboard.
The connection will likely be either VGA, DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort.

STEP TWO:
Plug the power cable into the back of the monitor and then the other end into an available plug socket.

STEP THREE:
Turn the monitor on.

STEP FOUR:
Turn the computer on.

STEP FIVE:
On the computer, click the windows icon (4 squares) in the bottom left corner of your screen, you will see the start menu appear. When it comes up click or search for “Settings”.
Click “System” then “Display”.

STEP SIX:
In here you can amend the resolution and the position of the monitors.

Likely the setting you want enabled is at the bottom under Multiple displays, set to Extend these displays.
